Club Spotlight: TUMS

Hey! Welcome to TUMS! Wait, you don’t know what TUMS is? We’re the Tulsa Union Medical Society (not the antacid)! We want to get more people (you!) interested in healthcare by finding volunteering/shadowing opportunities where you can get involved in the medical field directly while still in high school. We also bring in doctors and professionals each month as guest speakers to talk about their career and field of study. Physical therapists, emergency medicine docs, ophthalmologists- you name it, and we can find someone who can help you learn more about the aspects of healthcare that interest you.

Most recently, TUMS helped host Union’s first Whitecoat Hall of Fame, where we honored past Union alumni who have gone on to become involved with the medical field, and where TUMS members also got a chance to network with them and learn more about their path to medicine.
