Me: When did you first start teaching at Union?
Ms. Smart: My first year at Union as well as my first-year teaching was the 2019/2020 school year. (pandemic year)
Me: Where is your favorite place to eat in Tulsa?
Ms. Smart: My favorite place to eat in Tulsa is Lanna Thai right down the road.
Me: What do you believe your best qualities are?
Ms. Smart: I think my best qualities would have to be that I am outgoing, adventurous, and easy to talk to.
Me: What is your favorite thing about Union?
Ms. Smart: My favorite thing about Union is my relationship with my students. I love that I have so many diverse and unique personalities in each class. This has allowed me to get to know and make bonds that will carry on throughout the years; already proving to be true.
Me: What do you need to do to improve yourself?
Ms. Smart: To improve myself I feel I could get more sleep and drink more water. Teaching sculpture can be physically taxing and exhausting a lot of days, so if I were to take better care of myself, I feel I would be able to keep my energy up for longer throughout the day!
